Vacation Jubilation!

Today is a post that's very, very cool.
A break, oh, yes, a break by the pool.

In a hotel king suite,
Extremely comfy.
In Lompoc,
Yes, Lompoc,
A vacation for me!

Vacation Vacation,
Vacation Jubilee!
Jubilation, Jubilation,
In a room oh so cozy.

The wind may howl,
Concierges may prowl,
But relaxation
on vacation
Is necessary.

  1. Dear Anna,

This is our third annual summer vacation in Solvang and Lompoc! Did you like the pea soup and chocolate fudge at Andersen's in Buellton today? Nice light you got at the toy store in Solvang! How about that water spraying in the hot tub? And what do you think we should do tomorrow?

    Love,

    Dada

  2. I admit to liking faraway vacations as much as the next guy, but there's something to be said about getting to know the faraway places which are actually close by. Our vacation this year and in recent years has been all relatively close by places. Yosemite, L.A., Vegas, Tahoe, Mendocino, Lassen, Redwoods, Lodi, Reseda, etc. I recall Buellton on a chilly sunrise circa 1981 on a driving trip north from L.A. and calling the morning "a beaut." Only place I've ever used the term with any sense of credibility. Enjoy!

  3. One time we were on vacation and went to a local coffee shop for breakfast.

The waitress asked Uncle Pimby what he type of cereal he wanted for breakfast. She listed the choices: "Special K, Raisin Bran, Corn Flakes," to which Uncle Pimby responded, "Uh, Corn FLAKES!"
