Troll coins

Every Friday my friends and I have a tradition of taking the two mile long trek to Starbucks. It may not seem like a curse along the way, or maybe possibly even something great, but for us, the journey is weighed down-- literally-- with 10-pound backpacks (I'm not exaggerating on this one) and the occasional flute or saxophone, both of which I play. So, as you can imagine, we have invented some kind of motivation to keep us up and running toward our destination: TROLL COINS.

For those of you who have never heard of a "troll," or simply have encountered one and never taken the time to look it up, it is an internet meme-- something that goes viral and is constantly referenced across the wide, wide world of web-- that refers specifically to someone or something that purposely frustrates and/or demeans you tauntingly with its vile cruelness.

In fact, a symbol of this meme has been sketched and used to indicate this certain feeling:

The "problem?" phrase of it is meant to be annoying or facetious, given the fact that this "troll" is the one that started the problem.

Well then, moving on.

Anyway, so we invented troll coins. Well, we didn't invent them, we kind of just made up the idea and then took regular money and incorporated it in.  It all started one day when my dad came home with a very heavy box...

As you can imagine I was most surprised. The thought that my big strong dad struggled to carry even the smallest of brown boxes inspired awe within my depths. So I followed him into the office, where he opened it... revealing something amazing.

A whole box of 50 cent coins! They glittered and shimmered; my dad explained to me how these JFK imbedded coins were almost never used. He told me that as long as the bank wasn't circulating them, we could use them to pay for things. So I took a few rolls, each worth 10 dollars, and stuffed them in my wallet, which by the way is a one dollar rasta-themed wallet from a local pizza place's vending machine.

So I dragged my loaded and crumpled the"peace for all" wallet into my pocket and, along with my backpack, went to Starbucks. 

We walked up to the counter and ordered our drinks, but I told my friends I'd pay for it maliciously. I sauntered up to the counter and dumped 40 dollars worth of coins in front of the cashier's face. The following events pretty much ensued like this:
